After four years, Orkut founder, Buyukkokten is going to launch a new social networking platform, called Hello social network app. Orkut was popular social networking site in India and Brazil. The company stops their services in 2014.

Orkut founder Buyukkokten said “If you look at social media today, it has isolated people instead of bringing them closer. It has become more about broadcasting than sharing. We need a fresh start. We also ensure that every advertiser has a profile on hello (for greater accountability),” he said adding that no user information is shared with third-party apps.”

Hello social network app was launched in July 2016 in Brazil, in India around 35,000 users were users past of the Hello beta testing version. He also confirms that the company does not have to sell user data to get revenues. The company plans to launch hello in the US as well as in France and Germany after launching in India.
