Android P Build For Huawei Mate 10 Pro Got LEAKED
Earlier, Google has announced the first Developer Preview of Android P, which is only available for Google Pixel, Pixel Xl, Pixel 2, along with Pixel 2 XL. However, people at XDA-Developers have been successful in installing an early build of Next Android: Android P on Huawei Mate 10 Pro.
Initially, we thought that the ROM developer ported the next Android via Project Treble, which allows porting a vanilla Android ROM to smartphones with heavily modified OEM skins like the Samsung Galaxy S9 pretty easily. However, we were surprised to know that that was not the case. We have got to know that it is an Android P build with EMUI for the Chinese version of Mate 10.
For those who are looking to rebrand their Mate 10 Pro to the Chinese Mate 10, you’ll need a Huawei device ROM service called Funky Huawei. Then only, you can install the built to the Mate 10 Pro via this Funky Huawei service.
This build is still in testing period and doesn’t offer many new features. It doesn’t even offer Material Design 2 or new iPhone-X like gesture navigation. The EMUI version listed is as 8.2, however, the build is actually Android P because the build number is 9.0. The Android Easter Egg is also for Android P. Other than that, the apps in the build were built with the Android P SDK.
